About me :)Grace is an actress, writer, and ventriloquist. Growing up in NYC, Hong Kong, and Osaka, Japan, she is shaped by the cities that raised her. She credits them for her people watching skills and fascination for languages and human communication.
At 12 years old, she boldly decided she was moving to NYC which set forth a chain reaction of events: several meetings with agents, an interesting discussion with her parents (who were only learning of her plans then), and a life-changing move across the world. A graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia high school, her courageous spirit has propelled her work in film, theater, and animation. Grace is interested in creating work that explores how vulnerability connects our cultural, economic, and familial divides. Skilled at finding the absurdity in the mundane, she is drawn to dark comedies where her quick witted nature feels most at home. She believes laughter fosters space for empathy among people and hopes to use her passion for comedy to uplift the Asian community through humor. Grace is all about telling stories that leave people’s cores strong from laughing but hearts soft from sympathizing. Ever since her debut role as a Yellow Brick in “The Wizard of Oz” she has continued her pave her own road one brick at a time. She recently played Viola in “Twelfth Night” (UNCSA) and Zuzu in “Dance Nation” (Southern Plains Productions). She wrote two original plays this year, one of which premiered at the Hollywood Fringe and won the “Best of Asylum” award. |
